The big fashion trend is Bohemian we all know but still trending after the catwalks this year - is heavy embellishment. Designers went crazy for embellishments this year. We’re talking - beading, sequins, and stones, tiny mirrors, small beds, giant beads. Very bedazzled. Very stunning. On the runways we saw it with Valentino’s collection, Zuhair Murad, Peter Copping for Oscar de la Renta and Alexander McQueens line to name a few.
For Fall/Winter 2015 a big trend is the embellishments and Moroccan style fabrics. Tory Burch, who often makes lightweight clothes, did a pastiche of gold threads, beads and all sorts of pieces. Very Moroccan feeling. We are seeing heavily beaded coats, tops and skirts.
The other big fashion trend is pleats. Pleats were shown on the Dior Haute Couture runaway. but these aren’t your school girl pleats- these have fabric that is The ethereal and the pleats now flow in the breeze.
