When it comes to gifting there is no place like Beverly Hills in the world- considered the luxury capital of the world. Rodeo Drive has some of the best of the best globally for chic extravagance especially the most expensive store in the world ultra-luxurious House of Bijan. I stopped by the store on Rodeo, which remains an appointment only and I recently interviewed Nicholas Pakzad who runs the empire and whose famous father Bijan opened it in 1976. Clientele includes Bill Gates, Prince Charles and Jeff Bezos as well as U.S. presidents and athletes. Here they sell one of kind pieces that rival anything in the world such as cashmere and mink coats, exotic leather jackets, ties and suits and much more individual creations.
Some of the things for the person who has everything include a white cashmere men's coat with full mink lining and collar for $58 thousand dollars, an alligator mink lined jacket for $95 thousand, a diamond and gold Swiss-made unisex watch with 18 karat gold, 22.50 karats of diamonds, 58 total pieces of diamonds selling for $395 thousand dollars, and a lace cuff one-of-a-kind bracelet made of diamonds, emeralds and rubies for $198 thousand. Bijan is also known for its silk ties. A set with handkerchief sells for $950 dollars or $1,200 for those make with special jacquard. The silk box matches the tie silk. Stunning ties. Definitely for someone worth spending a thousand dollars on. I love these ties and gift boxes. Absolutely superb.
Pakzad says their items are things that you can't find anywhere else, and yes it may be expensive, but these are things that are very had to find.
Galerie Michael, the fine art gallery that has been on Rodeo for over 40 years and is one of the oldest establishments on the renowned street is located at Two Rodeo, home to 33 leading designer brand names. Here you can find that something for the person who has everything in an original 20th century Marc Chagall oil painting called Couple au Cirque. Price tag? $5.5 million. Unbelievable. Imagine owning this.
At Westime, the luxury watch store that has endless brand names, you can find the current trend of vintage looking pieces such as the MB&F flow red gold road edition men's watch for $198 thousand. And for women, there is the Harry Winston Ocean Biretrograde Automatic in 18-karat white gold with four and a half carats of brilliant-cut white diamonds set on the case alone for $66,900. Both watches really stand out. Definitely for the person who has everything.
